Wear Your Holiday Best To Martha's Vineyard Teddy Bear Trot

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Christmas costumes are not only allowed — they are encouraged and rewarded — for runners and walkers of all ages at the 5th annual Teddy Bear Trot Holiday 5K Run & Walk on Martha's Vineyard Sunday. Those who register online are still eligible for a $5 savings.

The Teddy Bear Trot is part of theTeddy Bear Suite fundraiser for the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club and its Healthy Happy Kids food program. Along with the 5-kilometer run, there will also be a 1-mile fun run for all ages.

This year's new route begins at the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club on Robinson Road in Edgartown. Early registrants will be guaranteed one of the beary fun sports-performance shirts. Prizes this year include Chilmark Coffee and Perfect Vineyard Day items.

Pre-registration for the 5K can be done here for $25 through Saturday at 3 p.m. Bibs can be picked up on Saturday from 3 to 6 at the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. Day-of registration is $30 from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Club in Edgartown. Kids fun run registration is $5.

There are prized for best finishes and top holiday costumes.
