Woman Killed In Crash On Martha's Vineyard

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA—Police say a woman was killed in a head-on collision in Tisbury Saturday evening.

State troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Oak Bluffs responded to a two-vehicle crash on Beach Road at approximately 8:08 p.m. on Saturday.

Emma Hall, 22, of Oak Bluffs, was declared dead at the scene, according to police. Two other people traveling in the same 2010 Volkswagen Beetle were injured and taken to Martha's Vineyard Hospital. One victim was later transported to a Boston hospital.

Police say Zachary Dupon, 25, of Oak Bluffs, was driving a 2002 Nissan SUV southbound on Beach Road when he moved into the northbound lane to pass two vehicles. While he was still traveling south in the northbound lane, Dupon collided with Hall's vehicle head-on. Dupon was transported to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital with minor injuries.

Dupon is charged with motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, speeding, and marked lanes violation and is being held at Dukes County Jail on $25,000 cash bail and expected to be arraigned on Monday, according to police.
