5 Seed Medfield Advances in Baseball Tourney
Chris McGrory pitched a complete game and hit a game winning home run to propel Medfield to next round.
Sophomore pitcher Chris McGrory hit a 2 out, 3 run home run in the bottom of the 6th inning to put Medfield ahead to stay to defeat 11th seed Pembroke. McGrory pitched a complete game, allowing 5 hits, 6 strike outs, and had 1 walk, allowing 3 earned runs.
In the bottom of the 6th Sam Chapin was hit by a pitch, Gearge Sawan hit a single and McGrory hit the three run moon shot to left field.
McGrory went back out to pitch the 7th and the game ended with a diving catch by Dean Adams in left field.

Medfield now awaits the winner of Somerset Berkeley vs Dartmouth game tomorrow. The second round game is scheduled for Monday.
