MEDFIELD, MA — Former Boston Red Sox star pitcher Curt Schilling and his wife Shonda have listed their Medfield Home for sale for just under $1.9 million.

Schilling spent the last four years of his 20-year MLB career with the Red Sox and contributed to the team winning two World Series. This included perhaps Schilling's most iconic performance in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS against the New York Yankees, which became known as the "bloody sock" game. Schilling won the game playing on an injured ankle, and by the end of the game, part of the pitcher's sock was visibly soaked in blood.

Schilling has lived on Sturbridge Road in Medfield for the last seven years. He told USA Today him and his wife will move to Tennessee, because outside his circle of friends, Schilling's experience in Massachusetts hasn't been pleasant. Schilling's experience in Boston soured over the last few years because of controversial views he's shared on social media, ranging from transphobia to Islamophobia and support for lynching journalists.
