Dog Rescued After Falling Into Medfield Well

A dog fell into a deep well in Medfield on Tuesday, but was later rescued, authorities said.

A dog fell into a 35-foot well at 11 Elm St., according to a report from WCVB Channel 5.

Medfield Emergency Services told Patch the dog was rescued and is at a veterinarian now. Authorities had no additional information regarding the condition of the dog or why the well was open.

WCVB reports the dog was trapped in the well for more than one hour after boards covering the well gave way.
