If you’re planning to run this year’s Angel Run 5K road race in Medfield, you have a little more than a week to register early.
This year’s Angel Run will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7. Those who register by Monday, Nov. 3 will receive an Angel Run t-shirt. To register for the 5K run/walk or to volunteer to help with the event, visit medfieldfoundation.org. All proceeds from the race will support Medfield families in need.

Recently, the race was certified as an official 5K by the USA Track and Field Association, as the previous route measured over the route standard by .1 miles, and the Medfield Foundations, Inc. (MFi) said the reason for the change was that it “felt the time was right to explore the opportunity,” as the run now offers something extra to runners looking to officially track their results.
The move allows for websites like Coolrunning and New England Runner to post times. The new course is essentially the same from previous years, with main difference being the starting location, which is now at the Medfield High School parking lot. A post-race party will also take place inside the Blake Middle School cafeteria.
