Empty County Band @ Victory Lane 32 Exchange St. Millis Sat 4/6
Empty County Band- SINN in Millis at Victory Lane April 6, 2019 Saturday 8:00 PM Millis MA Two bands only
Back in December I wrote about Empty County Band at Ralph's in Worcester. Here in 2019 the group is getting ready for a tour and you will find them at Millis, Massachusetts on April 6, 2019. According to the group's lengthy press release, all of the players are from Millis, so this should be a bit of an historic evening for the local Millis music scene.
To help readers catch up, here's my December article on the group:

Millis Tribe (Empty County Band)
Returning to Millis as a Musician 30 years later is so surreal.
Steve Kuchinsky returning with 3 more Millis natives? Legendary!!!
Victory Lane is an Iconic bar for Millis for us growing up its where you met your long-awaited friends. Behind Victory Lane is where young hung out with them before you even went to a bar. The railroad tracks at night, Millis Bowl or the Band Stand where those engraved or wrote their deepest thoughts. Back in the day it was like family maybe even better. There weren’t judgements made only plans, jokes, music and even sports at times, football, street hockey. Millis is for us is our first kiss, our first everything.
I grew up watching the older guys play music in my basement, Howie, Dovi, Piccarello, Ken Kuchinsky of course. We watched the Hagers, Mayors, Provosts, Lambert master the stages in parks and in school. These kids were 16-17 years of age and loaded with talent and I wanted to do that. How does one get to that point?
I began to brush paths with guys like Pat Fogarty, Eric Gallagher, Ian Casucci and Eric Johnson who once Co-owned Victory Lane at one point I believe. It really began the start of understanding what it meant to be involved in a group. They were all very talented and for once in my early to late teens things fell into place musically. Later Marcus Rodriguez, Eric Gallagher and eventually Jeff Kraby both of Millis all teamed up and formed a band called Numbskull.
Playing Victory Lane means reunion! On April 6Th I will be joined by musician percussionist Jeff Krabey, athlete amongst other things related to Millis a family of sports, coaches, musicians and cheering from what I can remember. We also welcome two brothers from Millis, lead guitarist Maximillian and bass player Augustus Palaza. They were from a younger generation of kids who were country boys as well and as far back as people can remember they tell me stories of them having Axes in there hands. I’m guessing both kinds! Man can these guys play is all I ever think when I listen. I’m proud to be a part of this tribe of Rock-n-Roll natives. So this show is more than just any show it is historical, notable, mentionable, and worthy event. Whether you like country, rock, metal, or blues you will indeed love the familiar yet original sound of Empty County Band. Is Millis in fact the inspiration for an empty county? That’s for our fans to decide!
April 6th we play for those that we’ve lost and for those who play no more…
