A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1887 the Excelsior Poultry Farm (15 Dale Street area) built by Daniel D. Curtis, which had been vacant for the past year, was leased to Fred Gilley for three years. Gilley had 250 chickens. At 504 feet in length, it was the largest single building in the state used for that purpose."
