A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"On August 13, 1963 the Medfield School Committee voted to eliminate Bible Reading and Prayer from the daily school opening exercises. This action was in accord with a ruling handed down by the United States Supreme Court. Each of the Medfield schools now began the school day with the Pledge of Allegiance and thirty seconds of silent meditation."
