A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In June of 1973 the relocation of Route 27 was completed. The entire project was funded by the State and Federal Governments. Construction costs totaled $2,000,000. The old Route 27 entered Main Street from Spring Street and went east on Main Street to North Street, then down North Street to Harding Street, to Hospital Road and over the Charles River into Sherborn. The new Route 27 continued north from Spring Street between the cemetery and Frairy Street, through the North Meadows and over the Charles River into Sherborn."
