Forty Ninth Week, Wednesday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"In 1965 it was reported that the Youth Center grew in stature and in size during the year, with dances having to be moved from Town Hall to the Dale Street School gym due to the increase in the number of youths attending the weekly Saturday night dances. With over 400 in attendance, it made the Town Hall site unsuitable. The Young People began making plans to move to a building they could call their own and began a building fundraising effort. Robert Capers acted as chair of the Adult Advisory Board and Daniel Wright as president of the Young people’s organization. The total program was under the care of Scott Fader of the Park and Recreation Commission."
