A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"October 24, 1950 was designated by a Selectman’s Proclamation as United Nations Day, the anniversary of the UN coming into force by the United Nations Charter. Town-wide commemorative ceremonies were conducted at an assembly of townspeople in the High School auditorium (now the Dale Street school). Student led exercises were also held in each of the town schools."
