A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1929 engineers of the Medfield Fire Department, Allan Kingsbury and Edgar Allen reported that there was a total of 57 fire alarms during the year. They included 14 building fires, eight chimney fires, 30 grass and brush fires, four automobile fires and one fire on an oil stove. The department consisted of one chemical truck, one hose truck, one Reo pump and one Seagrave pump. The department had a total of 3,000 feet of hose in good condition."
