Gas Prices Continue Dropping in Mass.

Gas prices are continuing their steady decline, dropping more than a nickel compared to one week ago.
The average price for one gallon of regular gasoline in Massachusetts is $2.59 as of Aug. 10, according to the American Automobile Association’s Fuel Gauge Report. The average price is down from last week’s average of $2.65 per gallon of regular gas.
In Medfield, the lowest price per gallon of regular gasoline is $2.55 at Irving, 26 Spring St. near Main Street, and Cumberland Farms, 560 Main St. and Spring Street, according toGasBuddy.com, a company that reports gas and diesel prices through crowd sourcing.

Massachusetts gas prices are down 17 cents compared to one month ago, the report said. The current Bay State average is on par with the national average at $2.59 per gallon of regular gasoline. At this time one year ago, the Massachusetts average was 98 cents higher at $3.57, according to AAA.
