Letter to the Editor...Endorsement for Lauren Liljegren
Medfield resident & coworker endorsement, "Lauren is not afraid to take an opposing position, which will be a welcome change to a SC..."

Letter to the Editor,
I am pleased to endorse Lauren Liljegren for Medfield School Committee. In a world that proves itself ever so small sometimes, Lauren and I work for the same company. We discovered we both live in Medfield only after remotely collaborating on a company project. Lauren and I were
working together on a large, high priority initiative for several months before we learned we were townies. I have had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the number of skills that Lauren has that make her an OUTSTANDING candidate for school committee member. She’s extremely driven and knows how to prioritize. Lauren is detailed oriented and tenacious. She takes the time to understand in order to make thoughtful decisions and foster constructive dialogue. Lauren knows how to forge forward in the most intense situations, in order to meet deadlines and execute on key deliverables. Her follow thru is impeccable and she is held in high regard within our organization amongst her peer colleagues, management, and leadership teams.
Lauren will not join the School Committee to follow the lead of the individuals who sit in their positions before her. She will stand as a voice for the community she represents. She can and will represent opposing views in a thoughtful and constructive way, and will do so without hesitation because she will make her responsibility to the Medfield Community a priority. The time is now for us to foster change in our community. Our School Committee needs broadened representation.
We need someone at the table that will not fall victim to the “same ol’ same ol’” because they are currently an educator, have close alliances with those in the education industry, or have served
previously. Lauren is not afraid to take an opposing position, which will be a welcome change to a school committee that has somehow managed to unanimously agree on pretty much everything for years. Lauren has already shared her voice during school committee meetings
throughout this past year. Medfield residents can feel assured that if she is voted onto the School Committee, she will continue to do the same.
