Letter to the Editor,

It is with excitement and pleasure that we - the Medfield Together Steering Committee - announce our endorsement of Robert Worth for School Committee. As a social justice organization, we based our decision for whom to endorse on each candidates’ commitment to furthering inclusion, diversity, and equity efforts in our school district.

Prior to us reaching out to the three candidates for interview requests, Robert had already declared inclusion, educational equity, and social justice as central components of his campaign platform. After sitting down with him for a Zoom interview, it became even more clear that Robert not only values and will work towards making our schools more inclusive and equitable for all students, but also has real, lived experience to bring to the table. He is currently the Wrentham 504 coordinator for the district, has been involved in civil rights protections, and is in the process of hiring a DEI regional director for Wrentham-Norfolk-KP. He has a working knowledge of how to navigate a diversity of ideas and opinions, and would bring this wealth of knowledge and perspective to the School Committee.

Robert exhibits both an understanding of social justice issues and a dedication to prioritizing equity in our schools by supporting our administrators, staff, and students in these efforts. His extensive work experience as both a school administrator and an educator demonstrates that commitment.

The MT Steering Committee feels confident that Robert is an excellent candidate for the School Committee, as his personal and professional values align with those of Medfield Together.
