To the Editor,

Steve Jobs said “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

Though learning from our past is important, it is more important not to dwell there. To his very core, Leo Brehm is a Forward Thinker. He has an innate ability to view the world from a big-picture perspective. With this broader lens, Leo considers what has come before, but is ultimately driven by the possibility of what comes next. His creative and analytical sides work together to not only set goals, but to lay in place the steps needed to get there. He assembles teams of experts to work together collaboratively and encourages them to push beyond their own expectations and consider myriad solutions to problems.

Through the many years I have known and worked with Leo in the EdTech field, I have learned he is a champion for all things related to education. He consistently looks for opportunities to connect dots to benefit the Whole Child. He is committed to outside-the-box thinking as a way of finding solutions, and creatively finds ways to make systems work within limited constraints. Leo does not thrive in an echo chamber; instead, he seeks unique, positive ways to share ideas within our field. His voice resonates with leaders within this industry because he refuses to accept old paradigms and limitations.

Voting for Leo to serve on your School Committee is a way to ensure dots will connect for the children of Medfield. I wish him all the best as he continues to persevere in the world of education.
