Medfield 11A's Win State Little League Championship

Medfield 11A Little League All-Stars captured the state title in a rout over Bridgewater this past weekend.

The Medfield 11A Little League team defeated Bridgewater with ease in Lynn on Saturday, Aug. 1. The 13-3 victory for the Medfield Warriors secured the Massachusetts State Little League title for the 10-11 division.

According to Medfield Youth Baseball and Softball, Bridgewater jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after two innings. Medfield, however, responded by plating 11 runs in the third inning.

The Medfield Warriors captured the state title in four innings after extending their lead to 13-3. The 10-run lead over Bridgewater enforced the mercy rule to end the game.
