Medfield Among Dozens Of MA Towns Where Coronavirus Cases Grew
Medfield was one of 65 towns in Massachusetts where positive coronavirus tests grew over the last two weeks, according to state officials.
MEDFIELD, MA — Medfield was one of a few dozens towns in Massachusetts that saw a rise in positive coronavirus cases over the last 14 days. The town's positive test rate also grew above the safety thresholds, according to state officials.
Over the past two weeks, five people tested positive for the virus out of the 219 who were tested, according to data released Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health. That's a positive test rate of 2.28 percent, just above the 2 percent safety threshold.

Last week, Medfield's coronavirus positive test rate was below the safety threshold at 1.52 percent.
Since the pandemic began locally in March, 39 Medfield residents have tested positive for the virus. There was only two active case in town as of Wednesday, according to town figures.
