Elaine Eden is hanging up her scissors after decades of terrific service.

Elaine Eden has been a barber for 40 years and has owned and operated Medfield Barber Shop on Main St. for 34 years. She has delivered over 150,000 haircuts to everyone from Medfield's children getting their first haircuts to notable celebrities such as New England Patriots.
Her dedication to her customers over the 40 years has been commendable and she continues to show that dedication--even as she starts her retirement. Eden will work two days a week to ensure a smooth transition for her regular clients to the new owner of Medfield Barber Shop. Her trusted sidekick, Gloria, will follow a similar path; phasing into retirement by working two days a week.

Eden said, "Medfield has been a great place to do business and I am delighted to phase out of the business slowly so that I can help both my regular customers and the new owner, David"
David Ssewanyana has been a barber for over a decade in Lowell, Mass. and is excited to be taking over the business from Elaine. He will expand the hours when he opens as the new owner of Medfield Barber Shop on July 15 and build on the experience of Elaine and Gloria to ensure that Medfield will have a great, viable barber going forward.
