Medfield Coronavirus Update: Latest State Numbers
Medfield saw less than five new coronavirus cases over the last two weeks.
MEDFIELD, MA — In a week when 40 Massachusetts communities were designated as a high risk for the coronavirus, Medfield held steady and remained a low risk community.
State rules mean that high-risk communities, plus others that were high-risk in the last two updates, cannot move on to the next phase of reopening. Towns were marked high-risk, or red, if they reported more than eight confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents over the past two weeks.
Medfield remained a "gray community," a designation reserved for communities with less than five new cases over the last two weeks. Medfield averaged 1.25 new daily cases per 100,000 residents.
