Medfield Native and 'Orange Is the New Black' Star Runs in the Boston Marathon

Actress and Medfield native Uzo Aduba ran the 119th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20 to raise money for the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge.

The “Orange Is the New Black” star, who raised more than her $4,000 goal, told People that she raised money specifically for Dana-Farber’s Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research, which studies potential molecular and genetic causes of cancer.

Aduba finished the race in 5:03:24.
