Medfield PTO Elementary Virtual Book Fair & In-Store Shop
Medfield PTO is hosting annual elementary school Book Fair grades pre-K to 5, ONLINE shop all week, shop extended hours Tues/Wed/Th.

Medfield PTO’s (Virtual) Book Fair
The Medfield PTO is hosting their annual elementary school book fair for grades pre-K to 5, though it is taking a different form this year. “Because of COVID precautions, we aren’t holding a giant one-day, in-person event like we did in previous years,” explained book fair co-chair Mary MacInnes. “Instead, the Park Street Books will be hosting the book fair online all week and has kindly offered to host three smaller in-store extended shopping nights, one for each school.”
Community members can shop online any time during the book fair using the Medfield elementary book fair link on the Park Street Books website (https://parkstreetbooks.com) and the code MEDFIELDREADS2021. Park Street Books will donate 20% of any purchases using the code to the PTOs of the three elementary schools. Park Street Books is also very generously donating 20% of any in-store purchase made during the book fair week when customers mention the Medfield Book Fair. This includes book, toy, puzzle, craft, or game purchases, as well as pottery painting.
Finally, families can enjoy a bit of normalcy with special school oriented extended shopping nights. On Tuesday 5/4 (Memorial), Wednesday 5/5 (Wheelock), and Thursday (5/6), Park Street Books is remaining open until 8pm to host kids and their families as they do their book fair shopping and (socially distant) socializing. There will also be an ice cream truck in the back parking lot to make the experience even more enticing!

The book fair is being held this year during the first week of May, which is also Teacher Appreciation week. Teachers at all three schools have put together wish lists of titles they would love to have in their classroom libraries. Families can order books from the wish-list for their children’s favorite teacher teachers – current or past. “Our teachers have kept things running in the most challenging year imaginable. This is a tiny way to recognize their incredible feat with a small thank you,” noted book fair co-chair Shannon Perschy.
The Medfield Elementary Book Fair is running online at https://parkstreetbooks.com and in store from May 1-9.
