MEDFIELD, MA — A brewery specializing in the Japanese alcoholic beverage sake may be on its way to Medfield.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Farthest Star Sake Brewery and Taproom is looking to open in Medfield.

An exact location was not disclosed, but according to an investment page, owner Todd Bellomy is looking to raise $100,000 to build the brewery.

If the brewery comes to fruition, Farthest Star would be the only sake brewery in all of New England, according to The Passionate Foodie. There have been several other sake ventures in the region over the last several years, but none have survived.
