Sobriety Checkpoints Planned for Labor Day Weekend
If you're planning Labor Day weekend travel, be aware that checkpoints are planned in both Middlesex and Worcester counties.
This weekend is Labor Day weekend, marking the unofficial end of summer and a traditional roadtrip weekend, sending thousands onto the highways all over the commonwealth.
But if you’re partying on the long weekend, don’t get behind the wheel. The Massachusetts State Police will be holding Sobriety Checkpoints during one of the busiest travel and party weekends.

One checkpoint will be held Friday, Sept. 4 into Saturday, Sept. 5 in Middlesex County.
Additionally, state police are also planning a checkpoint in Worcester County toady through Friday.
