July 13-17: Artist Studio (grades 1-4) gives students the chance to explore a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, scratch board, mixed media, etc., as well as a variety of subjects.

July 27-31: Beginners Digital Art (grades 4-7) teaches students basic indoor and outdoor digital photography skills and techniques. Kurt Jackson is a professional artist, photographer and storyteller who currently teaches at Medfield Afterschool Program.

The class registration form is available on the Zullo Gallery website (click here to access it). Cost for each session is $195. Proceeds help to sustain the non-profit Zullo Gallery in the heart of Medfield.

Registration forms and payment can be dropped off to the Zullo Gallery (open Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m.), or mailed to 456A Main St., Medfield, MA 02052. For more information about classes, including online or phone-in payment options, contact Executive Director Bill Pope at art@zullogallery.org.

Class sizes are smaller than usual due to COVID-19, so families are encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Protocols, such as six-foot distances between student work spaces, and face coverings for teacher, students and gallery visitors, will be in place.

In other Zullo Gallery news...

The "Future Visions 2020" exhibit, featuring more than 40 pieces of original work by Mass Art seniors, opens July 11. All pieces are for sale (average price is $200) with each student artist receiving the majority of proceeds, while the gallery receives a relatively small percentage.

The new exhibit is child-friendly, and a number of pieces on display are suitable for decorating a child's bedroom. Exhibit hours are Noon to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, or by special arrangement for senior citizens or individuals with immunity challenges.
