Another Bakery Could Replace Italo In Medford

MEDFORD, MA — Another bakery is reportedly eyeing a space on Main Street that formerly housed Italo, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Colette Bakery is planning to move into the longtime Italo storefront, months after the pastry shop shut down.

Italo closed last summer due to a family matter overseas, but reports conflicted over whether it would reopen. In February, Boston Restaurant Talk reported that a "For Lease" sign sat outside the Main Street shop and the bakery was listed as "permanently closed" on Google.

Italo, located at 509 Main St., served pizza in addition to bread, cookies and pastries.
