Arlington High School Principal Up For Reading Superintendent Job
Matthew Janger is one of three finalists for the role, which is expected to be named by Feb. 11.
ARLINGTON, MA — The Reading Public Schools has narrowed down its list of superintendent candidates to three finalists – including one name that's familiar to Arlington students.
Arlington High School Principal Matthew Janger has been shortlisted for the role. He has served as principal since 2013, having previously been principal of Mount Desert Island High School in Maine and an English teacher in Ann Arbor, MI.
During his tenure, Janger played a pivotal role in planning the new high school building and led initiatives focused on diversity, inclusivity, student support and technology. Under his leadership, Arlington High School has finished in U.S. News' top 25 high schools in Massachusetts for seven years.
