Deep Cuts Deli Coming To West Medford

The onetime pop-up is opening a brick-and-mortar location in West Medford and eventually plans to incorporate beer and live music.

MEDFORD, MA — A short-lived deli at an Everett brewery is opening a brick-and-mortar location in West Medford. Deep Cuts Deli and Brewery, which ended its partnership with BearMoose Brewery after two weeks last year over "creative differences," initially sought to open a combination deli-brewery in Somerville.

It's now landed in West Medford, according to the deli's website. Deep Cuts will move into the former Fruition Vegan Kitchen location on High Street, initially focusing on takeout/delivery and operating an outdoor patio, Boston Restaurant Talk reported.

But Deep Cuts has bigger plans than just selling sandwiches – it will also feature items like candles, records, tapes and art prints, and eventually expects to incorporate beer and live music, co-founder Jeff Wetzel told Patch.

Deep Cuts could be here as soon as mid-October. It will be located at 472 High Street.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this article stated that Deep Cuts planned to brew beer on-site. While it expects to incorporate beer and live music in the future, the concept has changed from a deli-brewery, Wetzel said in an email.
