Deep Cuts Deli Opens In Medford

The onetime pop-up has opened a brick-and-mortar location in West Medford, where it eventually plans to incorporate beer and live music.

MEDFORD, MA — An area pop-up has opened its first brick-and-mortar deli in West Medford. Deep Cuts Deli opened Feb. 9, the first iteration of a concept that is eventually expected to include beer and live music.

The deli started as a pop-up at Everett's BearMoose Brewery in 2019 but ended its partnership after two weeks over "creative differences." It initially sought to open a combination deli-brewery in Somerville and has similar plans to incorporate in-house craft beer and hard seltzer at the Medford space.

Co-founder Jeff Wetzel told Patch in September the deli will also sell items like candles, records, tapes and art prints, and eventually expects to host live music and other events.
