English At Large is Selected by Whole Foods of Medford for 5% Day on January 15

English At Large (EAL) is pleased to announce that Whole Foods Market of Medford has selected the nonprofit for the store’s 5% day on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Whole Foods Market created 5% Days to give back to its local communities by providing support to nonprofit organizations whose programs directly benefit the communities surrounding its stores.

EAL is a nonprofit that provides individual and small group instruction through a volunteer network to adult immigrants and other newcomers who want to acquire English language skills as they adapt to life in the United States. Our vision is that newcomers to the United States will develop the English language skills and acquire the cultural knowledge needed to fully engage in their communities and fulfill their life goals. EAL’s services are provided in 21 communities in the Greater Boston area, including Medford.
