Fire Pits Illegal In Medford, FD Says After Complaint
The firefighters' union reminded residents fire pits are prohibited in the city after someone mentioned three being used nearby.

MEDFORD, MA — The weather may be nicer, but fire pits won't be cropping up around Medford. The firefighters' union reminded residents Monday that pits are illegal in the city, regardless of whether they are wood or gas burning.
The advisory came after a resident reported fire pits being used by three of their neighbors.
"It doesn't matter if your neighbors said it's okay," Medford Firefighters Local 1032 wrote in a Facebook post. "Weekends or nice nights do not matter."
