First Responder Vaccinations Begin In Medford
The Medford police station is one of three sites where local first responders can get vaccinated against COVID-19.

MEDFORD, MA — Local first responders were able to get vaccinated at the Medford police station Thursday, as clinics start for area police officers, firefighters and EMTs. There are three clinics this week for first responders in Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, Wakefield and Winchester.
The Medford site started the earliest and will be followed by the Malden police station Friday and Melrose Memorial Hall Saturday. Medford first responders may get vaccinated at any of those clinics through a partnership with the Mystic Valley Public Health Coalition.
First responders, residents of long-term care facilities and healthcare workers are being vaccinated as part of Phase 1 of the vaccine rollout. Phase 2, which starts in February, will include people over 75 years old with two or more comorbidities and certain public-facing professions.
