Former Medford Mayor Wins Environmental Award

The award recognizes outstanding environmental advocates who have made contributions towards preserving and protecting natural resources

MEDFORD - Former Medford Mayor Michael J. McGlynn was awarded the 2016 Environmental Lifetime Achievement Award for his work and commitment to the environment. The award recognizes outstanding environmental advocates who have made significant contributions towards preserving and protecting natural resources over a number of years, according to a release.

McGlynn was nominated by Mayor Stephanie Muccini Burke, who thanked him for his efforts to reclaim and remediate brown fields in Medford, including Rivers Edge, Station Landing, and Hormel Stadium.
