Hourly Forecast for Winter Weather Heading to Medford

As previously reported, Medford will likely be receiving its first dose of winter weather this season on Monday night and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory to the area yesterday that will last from 10:00 p.m. on Monday to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The advisory calls for snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect on an hourly basis, according to weather.com’s most recent hourly forecast:

• Snow is projected to fall starting at 2:00 a.m. and continuing until 6:00 a.m. Temperatures will average between 29 and 31 degrees with an 80 to 100 percent chance of precipitation. Light snow is projected at 3:00 a.m.
• The snow is projected to change into a wintry mix starting at 7:00 a.m. and lasting until 8:00 a.m. Temperatures will stay between 30 and 31 degrees and there is a 100 percent chance of precipitation.
• The wintry mix is projected to change into rain at approximately 9:00 a.m and the rain will likely last until about 8:00 p.m. Temperatures will rise to the upper 30s and there is a 90 to 100 percent chance of precipitation until 3:00 p.m.
