Inside Man Helped Masked Man In Medford Robbery: Police
Police said Vintos was the inside man in a June 6 armed robbery at 397 Main Street which is the Metro- PCS phone store.

MEDFORD, MA - Medford police have arrested a man in connection with a masked armed robbery committed June 6 on Main Street.
Vasilios Vintos, 25, of 948 Highland Ave., was arrested and charged with armed and masked robbery, conspiracy and witness intimidation. Police said he was the inside man in a June 6 armed robbery at 397 Main Street which is the Metro- PCS phone store.
During the robbery, a white man with a bandanna over his face and armed with a knife demanded money from employees, police said. He held the knife to one employee while he instructed the other to get the money out of the register, police said.

The suspect told that employee to also get the money that was in the safe in the back room. Vintos was the employee that was collecting the money, police said.
Vital evidence was collected by the first responding patrol officer while conducting the preliminary report, police said. Police said Vintos was instrumental in orchestrating the robbery.

"We also know from witness statements and other evidence that the robber had a second accomplice with him. This investigation is ongoing. We anticipate more arrests in the near future," Lt. Paul Covino said in a statement.
