A Love Letter To Bobby Delafano
One spontaneous hitchhiking experience became a marriage of 45 years and counting.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Cheryl Delafano’s love letter to her husband, Bobby:
Well, just about 45 years ago I met the love of my life. The love of my life is Bobby Delafano. I was hitchhiking in Charlestown and he picked me up. It was love at first sight. In August of 1975 I had the honor of marrying him.
We have had some situations in our lives that have been trying, but we’ve always stayed positive and moved forward. He does not know this, but even now when I hear him put his key in the door coming home my heart still skips a beat. I married a gem, and I thank God every single day. Love you Bobby, and Happy Valentine’s Day.
