Medford Mayor Hires New Budget Officer
Mayor Stephanie M. Burke announced this week the appointment of Shab Khan as the Chief Budget and Procurement Officer

MEDFORD, MA - Mayor Stephanie M. Burke announced this week the appointment of Shab Khan as the Chief Budget and Procurement Officer for the City of Medford.
"I am very grateful to Mayor Stephanie Burke for giving me the opportunity to be part of her new Administration within the City," said Khan. "It has been very exciting so far working with the wonderful staff at the City Hall, who have been so welcoming and helpful in every way, I simply can not say enough how great it is to work here."
Shab has over 20 years of finance and procurement experience. Most recently, she was the Chief Procurement Officer and Director of Contracts Administration for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) where she was responsible for overseeing contract administration, a release said.

In addition to her experience with the DCR, Shab managed revenue and procurement for 16 state agencies for the Executive Office of Administration and Finance. In one of her previous roles, Shab was employed at the Department of Revenue where she managed accounts receivables and payables and performed audits on real estate partnerships as well as corporations, a release said.
"I'm pleased to have Shab joining my Administration with her strong expertise in finance and procurement to further assist in moving the City forward," said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke in a statement.
