Medford Aims For Early October Start To Hybrid Learning
School officials decided this week to work toward a phased-in hybrid plan starting Oct. 5.
MEDFORD, MA — The Medford School Committee and school administration decided this week to work toward a phased-in hybrid learning model starting in early October, Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said Friday.
"It's important to remember that all of this may change depending on the public health data, but for now we’re excited to be working toward getting our students and teachers back in their learning environments," Lungo-Koehn said in a statement.
According to a schedule shared by the mayor, kindergarten students are expected to start hybrid learning the week of Oct. 5, followed by first grade, second grade, sixth grade and 12th grade the week of Oct. 13, and grades 7, 8 and 9 the week of Oct. 19. Tenth and 11th grade will not return until November.

High needs and Curtis Tufts students will be in person every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Medford Voke will start phasing in hybrid learning the week of Oct. 13.
