Medford Bakery Among Best Dessert Spots In U.S., Yelp Says
Medford residents can enjoy the best dessert in the state right in their backyard, according to Yelp.
MEDFORD, MA — A recent addition to the Medford food scene has already landed on the national stage. Yelp recently released its list of the top dessert spots in the United States and Canada, and Colette Bakery took home the crown in Massachusetts.
Colette opened in April 2020, a month after the state initially shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Owners Nathalie and Franck Beddiar, both natives of France, had been trying to open the bakery for three years.
"Finally, when we were ready, it was the COVID," Nathalie Beddiar told Patch in April.

The couple decided to risk opening. Their gamble paid off. Colette has enjoyed an "incredible" amount of support from the Medford community, Beddiar said, and is known for its authentic French treats, including croissants, eclairs, brioche, macarons and more.
