Medford Boys Soccer Beaten By Lincoln-Sudbury in Regional Finals

In defeat, the Mustangs missed out on capturing the North Division 1 championship.

The Medford High School boys varsity soccer team lost to Lincoln-Sudbury Sunday afternoon in the North Division 1 regional finals.

The Mustangs’ 4-0 loss brought a close to a spectacular season. They were just two wins away from advancing to the state finals.

In victory, Lincoln-Sudbury advanced to the State Division 1 playoff bracket. They will next play Brockton High School.

Despite the loss, Medford’s postseason run was a great success. They knocked off Acton-Boxboro, Malden and Brookline. The team also posted a 12-2-4 record in regular season play.
