Where To Stay Cool In Medford
Mayor Stephanie M. Burke on Tuesday issued a statement about the days-long heat wave.

MEDFORD, MA – It's going to be hot in Medford the next couple days. Forecasters are predicting extreme heat into Wednesday evening.
Medford Mayor Stephanie M. Burke on Tuesday issued a statement urging residents and city workers to take precautions during the extreme heat. Residents should ensure they have an adequate supply of medical necessities such as prescription medications or oxygen and continue to drink water throughout the heat advisory, Burke said.
People working outside should avoid prolonged time in the sun and take regular breaks to cool off; especially strenuous activity should be limited to the early morning and evening, Burke added.
