Medford High To Host 2nd Memorial Hockey Game For Late Alum
The "Swirls Around the World" fundraiser will be held in memory of 2012 graduate Matthew "Swirls" Cirelli.
MEDFORD, MA – The Medford High School hockey team will host the second annual "Swirls Around the World" fundraiser Wednesday, Jan. 30 in memory of Matthew "Swirls" Cirelli. The Mustangs will face off against Saugus at 7 p.m. at LoConte Rink.
There will be a bake sale and raffles to raise money for the Swirls Around the World Fund, which will benefit scholarships for Medford High students and support pediatric and young adults battling Ewing's Sarcoma.
Cirelli, a 2012 graduate of Medford High School, died in 2013 following a two-year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma.
