Medford High Pitcher Throws No-Hitter On Opening Day

Jack Fargo led the Mustangs to a 1-0 victory over Gloucester Monday.

MEDFORD, MA – Medford High School pitcher Jack Fargo opened the Mustangs' season with a monstrous performance against Gloucester. The senior ace threw a no-hitter and struck out 16 in his first varsity start, leading the Mustangs to a 1-0 victory.

Fargo walked just one batter in seven innings and got all but five outs through strikeouts. He last pitched a no-hitter as a freshman.

Fargo's achievement is a first for the Mustangs since Shawn Normile's no-hitter against Greater Lawrence in 2015, according to Wicked Local. Fargo, a 6-foot, 165-pound pitcher, is a senior captain this year.
