Medford Holding Humboldt Broncos Jersey Campaign

Organizers are asking people to wear a sports jersey and share it on social media April 12.

MEDFORD, MA – Medford High School teacher Regina Needham is hoping to mobilize local participation in the #JerseysForHumboldt social media campaign. Organizers are asking people to wear a jersey of any kind on Thursday, April 12 and share it on social media with the hashtags #JerseysForHumboldt and #HumboldtStrong.

Fifteen people were killed and 14 others were injured Friday when a truck collided with a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team in Sakatchewan. The team was on its way to play in Game 5 of a semi-final against the Nipawin Hawks.

Organizers in Medford will also be collecting and sending donations to the families of those involved in the crash. Students and faculty may contribute.
