Medford Man Charged In Exchange Avenue Shooting

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford man was arrested Thursday and charged in a shooting on Exchange Avenue earlier this month. Steeve Paul, 20, is accused of shooting a 22-year-old man who was driving away from the South Medford Housing Development.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on May 10, police said. The victim was hit twice in his torso area while in his car. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators identified Paul as the shooter, police said. He was arrested Thursday morning at a friend's house in Dorchester, where police said he had been hiding out.

Paul faces charges of armed assault to murder, carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition and three counts of discharging a firearm within 300 feet of a dwelling.
