Medford Million-Dollar Lottery Winner Needs A Bigger Boat

A Medford man who recently won $1 million in an instant ticket game plans to upgrade a boat he bought with his previous lottery winnings.

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford resident is the first million-dollar prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Massachusetts Millionaires' Club" instant ticket game.

Daniel Galvin opted to receive a one-time cash payment of $650,000. Having bought a boat with his previous lottery winnings, he now plans to purchase a "bigger boat."

Galvin bought his winning ticket at the West Medford Spa on High Street. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
