Medford Needs Snow Shovelers For Residents In Need
During the pandemic, the city is stressing the need for shovelers who can support vulnerable residents.
MEDFORD, MA — The city is seeking community members to add to its annual list of snow shovelers for residents in need. Shovelers can volunteer or be paid for their services (payment is arranged directly between the resident and the shoveler).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city is stressing the need for shovelers who may be willing to provide support for residents in need, including senior citizens, residents who are ill or immune-compromised or residents with disabilities.
While the City publishes a list of available shovelers, any payment or direct services is arranged directly between residents and the shoveler. The city will provide a suggested price list. If you are a resident in need of assistance with shoveling, you can obtain the updated list at www.medfordma.org, or by calling the Council on Aging at 781-396-6010 or the Mayor’s Office at 781-393-2408.
