Medford Opens Applications For Pot Businesses
The city has licenses available for retailers, cultivators, manufacturers, micro-businesses and more marijuana-related enterprises.
MEDFORD, MA — The city's Cannabis Advisory Committee has opened the application process for adult-use marijuana establishments. Licenses include marijuana retailer; cultivator; product manufacturer; craft marijuana cooperative; micro-business; delivery only; transporter; independent testing laboratory; and research facility.
Medford's ordinances establish the requirements and process for the issuance of marijuana business licenses in the city. The aim is to license establishments that meet community goals and objectives set forth by the mayor and City Council.
Business owners interested in receiving a license will be required to apply to the Cannabis Advisory Committee. Upon review by the CAC, applicants will be selected by the mayor to negotiate a Host Community Agreement (HCA).
