Medford Power Outage Update: 300+ In The Dark
Authorities said power should be completely restored Friday.

MEDFORD, MA — Power has nearly been restored in Medford Friday morning. According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, 351 customers – 1 percent of those served in the city – are without power as of 7:40 a.m.
Authorities said Thursday evening 85 percent of customers should have their power turned back on by that night, and all power was expected to be restored by Friday morning. The priority Thursday was to address public safety issues, including downed wires and arching sidewalks, Mayor Stephanie M. Burke's office said.
Outages exceeded 4,000 at their peak.

National Grid classified the storm as a Level 3 event, city officials said. That means it could take up to 72 hours to respond to all customers. To report an outage call 800-322-3223 or 800-465-1212. National Grid suggests that all power outages are reported.
The Medford Fire Station at 0 Medford St will be available as a charging station for residents until power is restored.
